THE CATS AT THE ARK COULD USE YOUR HELP!

The Ark proudly announces the foundation of a new organization to honor and support our older animals: AARP (Ark Association of Retired Pets). See our "Golden Years" pets currently available (adoption fee waived for senior citizens).
NEEDED NOW: Volunteers who like cats, to spend some one on one time with cats who need further socialization with people. This requires patience, and can be very rewarding. Personal contact, on a regular basis, can make a cat more interested in human attention, and increase the likelihood of adoption.
Cats at the Shelter are litter box trained, tested for feline leukemia/FIV, vaccinated and dewormed.
AGE DISCLAIMER: Unfortunately, most of the orphaned animals who come to the shelter looking for homes don't bring birth certificates. Sometimes we know our pets' ages. Sometimes we don't. So we make our best guess by the condition of their teeth. Sometimes we are fooled. We ask that if you are concerned about the age of the pet you adopt, you take the pet to your veterinarian for the vet's best educated guess.
If siblings are adopted, the adoption fee for the second cat is waived.
Adoption fees are waived for cats eight years and older adopted by senior citizens 60 years and older with the Ark’s "Golden Years" program. The "Golden Years" cats are included on the "cats" pages, or click here for a special page listing all the "Golden Years" cats.
