We have these three rats available for adoption! These are dumbo-eared rats. One of them is a large white rat named Pluto, the dark one is Wolf, and his brother is Ghost. They are all very attached to each other, they love food and fruits and veggies. They enjoy snuggling together in their cage, hammocks and blankets. The owner who surrendered them would like everyone to know that the surrender was a difficult decision, and these rats were very well loved. They are a bit skittish and shy, but will warm up with time.
“Rats are friendly and curious by nature, but you will need to spend some time getting them used to handling. Start by hand feeding them small treats. When they are comfortable accepting treats, pick them up one at a time — one hand supporting the bottom, the other over the back. Once hand-tamed, many rats will become comfortable enough to sit on your lap or shoulder.” -Animal Humane Society
*We will require the the adopter of the rats have their own rat cage/condo.*
