Please be aware that we cannot guarantee that any dog is fully potty-trained or without behavioral issues. We do our best to disclose what information we have to adopters, but often animals come in without a history. If you currently have dog(s) in the house, we will need to do a meet and greet between your dog(s) and the dog you are interested in adopting. All dogs are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines before any adoption is finalized. Be aware that all cats and dogs 12 weeks old and over must be vaccinated for Rabies as per Maine Law. If the adoption does not work out for whatever reason, we ask that you call The Ark and we will make arrangements to take the dog back. By signing below, you certify that the information you have provided is true and you recognize that any misrepresentation of facts may result in your losing the privilege of adopting a pet from The Ark. You also understand that the Ark has the right to deny your applicationa at their discretion, and that adopting a pet is not “first come, first serve,” because The Ark operates on placing animals in adoptive homes that are the best possible fit. You also authorize investigation of all statements in this application and understand that there may be a 24-hour waiting period to verify the facts in this statement.
