A one-year-old Blue Merle Chihuahua, Poquito was recently rescued from a puppy mill and brought to the safety of The Ark. He was very timid upon arrival, but his youthful spirit is beginning to shine. He loves playing with his new toys, and bashfully yearns for your affection. Poquito is ready to learn what it means to be a loved companion.
A four-year-old Chihuahua, Hamilton weighs all but five pounds. He has a handsome chocolate-and-cream colored coat. Before arriving at The Ark, Hamilton had spent his entire life in a puppy mill. He now spends his days watching all of the shelter activity, wondering what new life awaits him. Come show Hamilton how good a dog’s life can be.
SAY HELLO TO CHEWY…a three-year-old Boxer mix, Chewy has sadly been passed around many homes in her short life. She’s stayed smart and steady, though, and knows that she has a lot going for her given the chance. She does have an alpha-female mentality, so she’s not ideal for every dog-loving household. She’s sweet, just wants to be loved, has been working hard on her commands and social skills, and is ready to be your “furever” friend.
LOOKING FOR A BIG HEART…a ten-year-old Black Lab mix, Maverick’s days may be numbered. Along with several health issues that we’ve addressed, Maverick has an enlarged heart which is requiring daily medication to keep him stable. It’s hard to determine how long his heart will hold on, but if you asked him, he’d say a long time. Maverick is super sweet, playful, and just yearns for human affection. Help Maverick live out the rest of his days in peace and happiness.
