A six-month-old Terrier Mix, Petey is full of love and kisses. Playing ball, going for walks, and running around with his canine pals are among his favorite things. He has shown signs of aggressive behavior toward other small dogs, but we feel he is merely exerting some of his own insecurities, as he plays very well with the larger dogs. A fun, playful companion, Petey is ready to learn what home is.
Max is approx. six-years-old and new to the Shelter. Keep checking for more information to come.
Perdido is a one-year-old neutered Lab Mix with a vibrant spirit. He finds great pleasure in rough housing outside with some of our big rope toys, tossing them in the air and chasing wildly after them. Our plans are to enroll him in basic obedience classes, but wouldn’t it be great for his new “guardian(s)” to accompany him. Because of his size and exuberance, Perido is not suited at this time for a home with children under seven years of age. Once lost, Perdido is ready to be discovered.
Scotie is a very handsome, eight-year-old Old English Sheepdog who arrived at the Shelter with his best friend Yoder. Although they enjoy each other’s company, they would both adjust well to a new life apart.
We are concerned that he may have some hearing loss, but without any definitive test, we can only guess he is hard of hearing or selective about what he does hear. He currently lacks recall skills, so a fenced yard or tie out, along with leashed walks, are in order. He will require regular grooming as he has a long coat that either needs to be brushed/combed several times a week, or clipped several times a year. A wonderful breed full of companionship and love, Scotie’s waiting to go home.
Full of life and energy, Yoder is an eight-year-old Australian Shepherd who arrived at the Shelter with his buddy Scotie. He enjoys going for long walks, hikes, and car rides too. He knows some basic obedience commands, but like Scotie, would benefit from some confident, consistent leadership. Yoder loves being around people, and is looking for a new home with lots of love to offer.
