Taina

Taina

Say cheese! This beautiful lady is smiling for the camera, hoping to be home soon. Taina is a beautiful chestnut caramel color and is a 20-week old spayed female. We aren’t exactly sure of her mix, but we just know that she was mixed right! If you have an interest in this lovely pup, please call the shelter or stop in, and fill out an application! Taina will need to be adopted with her sister Terri, who is the same age and mix, but a lovely ebony black in color. Both dogs don’t “show” well, and tend to bark at people, are can be very fearful. They will need to have multiple meet and greets in order to be able to go home with someone. We are looking for a family with dedication to working with fearful, timid dogs that have a lot of patience and love. At the Ark, we just know they will find a home as loving as they are. Take a look at our website to read about Terri as well!

Terri

Terri

“Will you come meet me and give me a treat?” This is Terri, wondering if you would like to come see her here at the Ark and bring her home. She is a  spayed female who was born in September 2019, and is smiling at the camera just for you! She has adorable paws, pretty teeth, and fur as black as a January night sky. Although we aren’t sure what breeds make her up, we DO know that she must have been mixed with all the right stuff. Come meet Terri today and fall in love.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon

Cinnamon HAS BEEN ADOPTED!  She is kind, gentle, loving and fun! Do you have an appreciation for the deepness in a dog’s eyes, that come from their soul? This girl’s eyes truly are the window to her soul. Cinnamon is very smart and food oriented. She is currently doing very well with learning to sit. She appears to be potty-trained and is coming around quickly with all of the staff, and looks forward to any attention that she gets! Weinheimer mix? Chocolate lab-ish? Hound-ish? Either way, we are sure this girl is a perfect mix of sugar, spice and everything nice. That must be why her name is Cinnamon! She is currently an Ark mascot, living in the Administrator’s office and is making the perfect one. She loves to play! She could use some work on her manners (jumping up on people, jumping up on furniture). However, with a girl so eager to please, we are certain she will make you happy quickly with some basic training and some patience. She is around 5-6 years old and weighs around 55 pounds. We are currently accepting applications for her adoption, and would be happy to put her on hold for the perfect family. Give us a call to ask more questions!

Sergio

Sergio

The Ark is very pleased to introduce you to the very loving five-month old Sergio, who came to us from Puerto Rico. Shy and a bit timid, Sergio will steal your heart in the blink of a large brown puppy dog eye. He enjoys the company of other canines, and loves to play with toys. We find that he is attaching quickly to staff, and likes to sit in their laps and look handsome. He appears to be a small lab mix, and would make most any family a perfect companion. We would like to see him have a quiet few days of adjustment time in his new home, as he is a bit reluctant to all of the crazy things that this life has going on! Come meet Sergio and be prepared to fall in love. We are currently accepting applications on his adoption and would be pleased to answer any questions you might have.

George

George

We are feeling VERY positive about George these days! He had a meet and greet with a wonderful person yesterday, and her dog. While her dog did not like George at all (so she couldn’t bring him home) George LOVED her dog, and wanted to smell him, play with him, and walk with him! George has been with us since July. He would be perfect for a home with no young children. We aren’t sure how he would do with kitties. He is 7.5 years old, and was surrendered by his family of seven years. He likes to play, roll around, chew bones, go walking, shake paws, knows how to “sit,” “stay,” and LOVES a good belly rub! Can you help George find a home for the holidays? He has waited long enough, and is starting to become accustomed to his life at the shelter. While that is a GOOD thing, we would much prefer that he have his second chance at a family. Please contact us to come and meet George. He might just be your new best friend.
