Earl is just about the sweetest dog you will ever meet. Still quite puppy-like, this long-legged boy loves nothing more than to run and play. Earl enjoys games of fetch with his humans as well as playing chase with other high energy dogs. Of course, he is not opposed to running laps in the bark park even without a companion.
Earl will do best with an active family so that he can get the exercise he needs. A fully fenced yard would also be ideal for this boy. And while it is not required, we feel he would greatly benefit from having another canine companion in the household.
If you need some puppy love in your life, Earl has an abundant supply to give.
If you are interested in meeting Earl, please submit an application. Once received, we will contact you to set up a visit.

Sirus is a big dog in small package! Weighing in at 36lbs, he’s a great size for most life styles. Sirus is smart and knows some commands. He’s a young guy who is full of energy and needs a lot of physical and mental stimulation. His ideal home would be with someone that would be able to continue his training. He’s working on learning patience and boundaries. Sirus is very sweet, but would do best with kids 16+ that can respect his space and help him learn. Sirus has some resource guarding issues that he’s working on with our trainer. He seems good with other dogs, but only if they like him too and can match his playstyle. Cats unknown.

Look at this beautiful girl! Emma an 8 year old German Shepherd. Like most shepherds, she’s incredibly smart and has focus. She loves to play fetch! And though she does bring the ball back, sometimes it’s a minute or so before she can take her eyes off it long enough for you to throw it again. Emma would probably do best as an only pet, she can be rough with small animals like little dogs and cats. Her hips also aren’t what they used to be, so she shouldn’t be roughhousing with larger dogs too much. Emma would do best in a low stress environment with routine and predictability.

Can you believe the sweetness and squish of Henry’s face?! Henry is about five years old and he came from a difficult situations, to say the least. Though he has been through a lot, he is a gentle giant. He’s 150lbs of love. Henry loves to play, but only for short bursts, then he loves to snuggle. Henry is dog aggressive, and chases cats, so me must be the only pet. Because of his size and needs, preference will be given to adopters with giant breed experience.

Hi! My name is Reese and I’m a spunky four year old guy! I’m told that I’m little, but I’m actually quite sure I’m big. I’m about 20lbs, impressive, I know. My favorite things to do include walks and eating snacks. I love getting outside with my person, sometimes I get so excited I try to slip out of my harness and collar to walk ahead. I’m also an expert at alerting humans. If I hear a noise, I’ll tell you. Want to know that there’s a squirrel in the yard? I got you. A car drove by? I’ll tell you really quick.
I’m okay with some dogs, but I need slower introductions. Cats, I’m not sure about. And as far as kids go, I’d prefer to be in a home with teenagers are older. I do have boundaries and don’t like to be grabbed.

Our Trudy-Lou-Who:
One of the cutest Lou’s in Who-Ville
BOING-BOING-BOING
“My name is Trudy Lou! I lived most of my life as a hunter. After my first owner hurt himself and couldn’t care for me anymore, I went with another hunting fellow who was very good to me- but I didn’t want to hunt! He would start me off on a trail and I would just decide to play instead, even engaging all the other hunting dogs in play time and distracting everyone! While it was very cute and charming, it is not the right behavior for a hunting dog. So here I am at the Ark, awaiting my family life!
Anyone want to play?”
Love Trudy-Lou
Great temperament, excellent playmate with other well-behaved dogs, and loves people- Trudy is a GREAT dog. She is going to make an excellent companion.
Trudy will be a fantastic family dog (probably not toddlers, as she likes to jump-as you can clearly see). She is very impressive with her house training, but sometimes has accidents overnight because she is alone at the shelter. During the day though potty accidents! We feel if someone were with her and she were with her family in a house, that there would be minimal accidents and she would do very well. Trudy will need a home where she can play, engage in outside activity with her family, and run around. Trudy is a 4 year old plott-hound, and just a ball of energy. Four years old? DON’T sweat it. This girl is a puppy in her mind and body.
Trudy is vocal and can often times bark when excited. She is a hound- so preferably someone with hound experience would be her perfect owner. We know hounds- they can be wonderful family dogs, but sometimes take a bit of patience and understanding.
Please give us a call to meet Trudy Lou, today!
