Hey, my name is Max and I’m a nine-month-old Yellow Lab. The family that I grew up with had to move and couldn’t take me with them. I’m a little nervous in my new environment, but the staff is very kind and patient with me. I’m a happy, friendly, handsome boy who just wants to go outside and play…they say my enthusiasm is infectious. I’ve been around women most of my life, but I’m getting used to being around the “guys.” I wasn’t raised around small children either, so they make me a little jumpy. I know that I still need to work on some things, but I’m ready to give it my all.
Hi, my name is Roxie and I’m a four-and-a-half-year-old Lab/Shepherd mix. I’ve watched a number of my canine friends find homes, and I’m starting to wonder if there’s something wrong with me? I know that I will make a great friend and companion. I’m housetrained, very playful, friendly with other dogs, and great on walks. I’m excited to meet new people every time they come to the Shelter, but nobody has brought me home yet…and I’m so full of love and kisses. Please come by and seem soon. I’ll be waiting.
Red is new to the shelter. He is a neutered five-year-old Red Tick Hound. A very sweet boy, who is unhappy at the shelter. He is accustomed to a warm indoor life. Red loves to go for rides and he is good with kids. Please make this sad boy happy again by giving him a loving forever home.
My name is Millie and I will be two-years-old in February. As you can see by my picture I’m a small breed mix—maybe a little Pug, a little Chihuahua, and a bit of Boston Terrier. The humans at the Shelter are very nice to me and I love them all, but life isn’t easy for me. You see, they tell me I wasn’t socialized with other humans or dogs when I younger, so I don’t always react well when first introduced. But once I get to know you, it’s all about the love. I did spend some time with a wonderful trainer, and she said that I could learn to be a good canine citizen with some more training, patience, and love. The Shelter is offering to help pay for training when my new forever home comes along. I hope that is soon, because I’m wishing for a new home by Christmas. So Mr. Santa, please find me a home with lots of love to spare.
Hi there, I’m Chico, a one-and-a-half year old Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix. I’m only seven plus pounds, but I feel like I’m 107. I think that’s why I ran into some trouble at my last home; see, the kids there would always tease me, so I was constantly on guard. That aside, I’m a real snuggle bug. In fact, my favorite spot is on top of your shoulder where I can better keep an eye on things. I’m dreaming of a quite home, a soft warm blanket, and kind hands to hold me.
