Rat & WeeWee

Meet Rat & WeeWee

Introducing Rat and WeeWee the cutest pair of seniors! Despite being almost 14 years old, they play like they are only 6 years old. They have spunk, and spice and everything nice. Rat is a scruffy terrier mix with the cutest hair do and WeeWee is a toothless bundle of shi tzu. They may be tiny but they are mighty little loves. They love belly rubs and snuggles and anything to do with affection. They are puppy pad trained and would do best in a home with older children, their demeanor around other dogs and cats is unknown. Please consider giving these sweeties a home to live the rest of their lives in 🙂

Our Trudy-Lou-Who:
One of the cutest Lou’s in Who-Ville
BOING-BOING-BOING
“My name is Trudy Lou! I lived most of my life as a hunter. After my first owner hurt himself and couldn’t care for me anymore, I went with another hunting fellow who was very good to me- but I didn’t want to hunt! He would start me off on a trail and I would just decide to play instead, even engaging all the other hunting dogs in play time and distracting everyone! While it was very cute and charming, it is not the right behavior for a hunting dog. So here I am at the Ark, awaiting my family life!
Anyone want to play?”
Love Trudy-Lou
Great temperament, excellent playmate with other well-behaved dogs, and loves people- Trudy is a GREAT dog. She is going to make an excellent companion.
Trudy will be a fantastic family dog (probably not toddlers, as she likes to jump-as you can clearly see). She is very impressive with her house training, but sometimes has accidents overnight because she is alone at the shelter. During the day though potty accidents! We feel if someone were with her and she were with her family in a house, that there would be minimal accidents and she would do very well. Trudy will need a home where she can play, engage in outside activity with her family, and run around. Trudy is a 4 year old plott-hound, and just a ball of energy. Four years old? DON’T sweat it. This girl is a puppy in her mind and body.
Trudy is vocal and can often times bark when excited. She is a hound- so preferably someone with hound experience would be her perfect owner. We know hounds- they can be wonderful family dogs, but sometimes take a bit of patience and understanding.
Please give us a call to meet Trudy Lou, today!
Jack and Waylon

Jack and Waylon

These two dogs are such good boys. They are so quiet and calm, and just really chill to be around. We think that Jack may have eaten a little too much turkey on Thanksgiving (and last Thanksgiving..and the Thanksgiving before that)…but we digress. We LOVE a little extra dog to love! We are happily accepting applications and meet and greet appointments on these guys. They will be thrilled to meet you, too!

Wesley

Wesley

The only thing Wesley knows is love. He is very patiently waiting to go home with someone who is patient and committed. Wesley was found dumped off in the backwoods of Wesley. We can assume he lived in a garage or a kennel his whole life, and isn’t quite used to living in a home. He is doing ok with house training, but will need more work and will need to be kennel trained and have lots of love and attention. It is guesstimated that he is around 4-5 years old, but he tested positive for Lyme Disease. At times, he is a little lame and likes to lay around a lot, although he can be playful and goofy. We would love to have a conversation with the right family about the sweet Wesley. Wesely is around 40 pounds.

Dalton, Cutie, and Bella- The best things come in three’s!

Dalton, Cutie, and Bella- The best things come in three’s!

These three dogs are very bonded, and we are searching high and low for a family who might just be crazy enough (in the “good” way, of course)! To take on three of these lovely little babes.

Let us start with Dalton. Dalton is SO cute and sweet! He is very friendly, and also quite talkative. He makes a lot of noises, grunts, groans, and a yip here and there. Dalton will need a belly band and some work around his “marking” with urine. He is about 8 years old.

Dalton will need to be adopted with his friends Cutie and Bella, as they are very bonded.  For the perfect family, we will offer a special adoption price for all three of these sweet hearts!

This tiny man is finally ready to go home! Cutie’s FAVORITE thing to do is be babied. He likes being spoon-fed his soft food, but he WILL eat hard food, which is a little scary, as he only has one tooth after his dental work was done! He will need supervision when eating hard food.

Do you think you might be the one who can give this little sweet old man a home to live out his golden years with his two besties? Cutie is around 15 years old and weighs in at about 3 pounds.

Bella is very sweet and outgoing. She is not high-energy but has bursts of playfulness. She is not house broken. She is very interested in food and loves to eat! She is very food motivated, loves people, loves toys and loves to play. She four years old.

Nilka

Nilka

I am Nilka, a gorgeous 9-month-old Lab Mix. As you can see, I have a mostly tan back with a white underbelly, and tan mask marking my beautiful face. I am very personable, and I LOVE to play with other doggies. I absolutely adore human interaction, and love to jump up to give hugs! I enjoy going on walks, and love to play. I think that I’m little, like some of my other doggie friends in here are, so I think I would really like to be a lap dog if that’s ok with you. Could you please come visit me at The Ark Animal Shelter in Cherryfield during business hours, or call for more information (207) 546-3484. When you come, I was wondering if you might bring me a toy or some treats and I can take you to the Bark Park here at the shelter and we will have a blast getting to know each other!
