Meet Cooper
Cooper is a 2-year-old, 13-pound Chihuahua mix with a big personality packed into a small, muscular frame. While he may be a little shy when you first meet him, don’t let that fool you—once Cooper warms up, his true self shines through! He’s fun, energetic, and full of life with just the right mix of spunk and snuggles.
Cooper lives for long walks and adventure, so an active household is a must for this little guy. Whether it’s a stroll through the neighborhood or a weekend hike, he’s always ready to go. And once he’s had his fill of activity, he’s more than happy to curl up right in your lap for a good cuddle session—he truly is the best of both worlds.
He would benefit from an owner familiar with chihuahuas and training to help with his separation anxiety, confidence and his barking.
Cooper would benefit from a confident canine companion to help boost his own self-assurance, so a home with another friendly dog could be ok. However, he’s not a fan of cats, and due to his playful nature and sensitivity, we recommend a home without young children.

Meet Slim – A Sweet Soul Ready for a Fresh Start! ?
Slim is a wonderfully social and affectionate cat with a heart full of love to give. This beautiful boy was sadly abandoned at Healthy Acadia, where he was found in rough shape—severely matted and in need of serious TLC. After a full vet check-up, a fresh shave, and some much-needed recovery time, Slim is finally feeling like himself again.
He was adopted once, but unfortunately, it wasn’t the right fit and he was returned. Since then, Slim has shown us just how much he longs for a home to call his own. He’s incredibly loving, sweet-natured, and adores being petted and held. He thrives on human companionship and would make a fantastic lap buddy or work-from-home companion.
Slim might be unsure about dogs, so a dog-free home would probably be the most comfortable setting for him. What he truly needs is a calm, caring person to show him the love and stability he deserves.
Please consider giving Slim the forever home he’s been waiting for—he doesn’t belong in a shelter. He’s ready to stretch his legs, snuggle up with you, and be your loyal friend for life. ?

She can be a little nervous when meeting new people, but with patience and kindness, she quickly warms up and becomes a devoted, affectionate companion. This little lady thrives on human connection and would love to be your one and only. Opal prefers having her people all to herself, so she’s best suited to a calm, adult-only home without other pets.
Opal originally came to us with her brother, but we’ve found that she’s truly blossoming on her own. While they care for each other, their personalities and needs are quite different, and Opal is doing much better with a little independence.
She may be small, but she has a lot of love to give—and she’s ready to give it all to the right person. If you’re looking for a sweet, spunky little shadow who will be your constant companion, Opal is waiting to meet you!

At 13 years old, Figaro isn’t just a survivor — he’s a warrior. This resilient gentleman has faced more than his fair share of challenges. From healing after a painful ear hematoma to enduring a traumatic dog attack that nearly cost him his life, Figaro has fought through it all with quiet courage and an unshakable will to live.
When the odds were against him, Figaro made one thing clear: he wasn’t done yet.
Today, he greets every new friend with a gentle meow and an open heart. He’s endlessly sweet, deeply loving, and ready to offer his companionship to anyone who needs it. Though he’s proven to be surprisingly chill around dogs, we think Figaro deserves a peaceful home — one where he can finally relax without worry. Meet Thelma & Louise – The Iconic Duo with a Mysterious Past!
These two young ladies didn’t just wander into someone’s home — they waltzed in like they owned the place. Strays no more, Thelma and Louise are now ready to charm their way into your heart and home.
At just one year old, they’re full of life, love, and a serious passion for treats. Crack open a can of food or shake a snack bag, and you’ll have two instant best friends. Their love language? Kibble and curiosity.
Louise, the beautiful brown tabby with white, is the bold ringleader — always the first to explore, to play, to love. Thelma, white with tabby markings, is a bit more reserved at first, but once she warms up, her affection flows just as freely.
They’re night owls at heart, often throwing mini feline fiestas while the world sleeps — so be ready for a little late-night mischief! Whether they’re chasing shadows or snuggling close, they do everything together. Wherever they came from, whatever they were running from — we forgive them. And we hope you will too.
