Tonka

Tonka

Tonka is a 2/3 yr old Great Dane, and has recently had Gastropexy surgery to greatly reduce the risks of bloat. Although he is pretty big the way he is, he does have to gain some pounds to be at a healthy weight for his breed. It seem that even though everybody else knows how big he is, Tonka hasn’t quite gotten the memo. With that in mind, it’d be safer for him to go to a home with older kids. Tonka also does do good with other dogs, but seems to prefer the females.

Tonka is a gentle giant in search of a home. He’s sweet, loving, goofy, funny, and just get a look at that droopy Great Dane face! He is a big lover (literally), so we’re in search of the perfect human(s) to love him like we do!

Theodore

Theodore

Say hello to Theodore! Theo is the most handsome and sweetest 13 year old boy! Before arriving here at the shelter Theo went to the vet where he was declared in perfect health despite some dental work needing to be done, slightly under weight and his scrappy appearance! This old man purrs, chats, and snuggles like none other. He has captured the hearts of every staff member that has had the pleasure of meeting him. Theo loves his food and to be held on your shoulder- there is nothing not to love about this big boy! We are looking for a forever home for Theo so he can live the rest of his years in warm loving home. We are still closed to the public (but oh so close to making our final move) but you can fill out an application on our website or message us with any questions about Theo. He really is something special ❤️

Minnie

Minnie

We are so excited to introduce the most lovable, affectionate, and purr machine of a girl, Minnie. Minnie is 20 years old, the oldest cat here at the The Ark Animal Shelter, even though she doesn’t look or act like a senior cat. Minnie spent 20 years of her life in a loving home until her previous owner unfortunately passed away. It truly breaks our hearts to see Minnie here at the shelter after living 20 years in home, and would love nothing more than to see her go to a home. Minnie is truly one of the most affectionate and loving cats, as I sit here writing this post Minnie has burrowed herself deep into my arms endlessly purring. Minnie will do best in a home as the only animal where she can get the undivided attention she deserves, and in her older years she has become less tolerant of the rambunctious nature of younger animals, although she does wonderful with children! Please send in application online for this sweet girl, so she can go home to a loving family.

Saphire & Dancer

Saphire & Dancer

These two ladies are Saphire and Dancer. Both of these girl are pretty shy, and haven’t settled into the shelter life quite yet. These girls would do best in a home with no children and no dogs, just so they could properly settle in at their own pace.

Ruth

Ruth

Hello, My name is Ruth!

I am a pretty chill lady, who likes to give some pretty great lovies. I do pretty well with other cats, and wouldn’t mind the extra company of another one in the home. I like to sleep a lot, so that where I really focus all of my effort. I am just a calm, cool, collected girl, who only occasionally likes to give love bites. Occasionally. Don’t you just want to take my pretty self home with you?
