Polly, aka Cami, found her way to the Shelter after being picked up, on a hot summer day, running aimlessly down the road. We are guessing that she is a Yorkie mix, approximately 3 to 4 years old. Her hair was completely matted upon arrival, so we had to trim her entire coat. It will all grow back nicely with time. She recently spent a week with our trainer where she was evaluated and received some very productive in-home training. Upon evaluation, we learned that this sweet little girl needs a home without children, loves woman, but is cautious of most men. Our trainer recommends that we place Polly with an adult couple or single person with a low-key lifestyle. Polly is cute, funny, and thoroughly enjoys sitting on your lap while getting lots of love and affection (and she deserves it).

Ludwig is a very sweet, eight-year-old Miniature Dachshund who was very loved in his former home. His circumstances took a sudden change for the worse, however, but he’s doing his best to keep his chin up. A real snuggle bug, he loves to crawl under the bed sheets and plant wet smooches on your face. Always looking at you with the most longing eyes, Ludwig will melt your heart with his soft, sensitive ways.

Introducing Graham Cracker, a seven-year-old Standard Dachshund with a spunky personality. Originally rescued from the south, Graham spent the last five years being spoiled in his loving home. Unfortunately, his guardian fell ill and passed away, leaving Graham with a lot of questions. A very unique guy, we were told that he loves to watch TV, especially westerns. He also enjoys sitting on your lap and snuggling in bed. He does get along with cats, but true to his breed, he’s an aggressive hunter of small critters and rodents. Always ready to go for a ride, Graham Cracker is waiting for his new life to arrive.
