Foxy

Foxy

Her name and her face says it all, and she really lives up to her name. Foxy is hanging out with other kitties in the common room, waiting to be adopted into your arms. She recently had her feline behavior observation done, and she really put on quite a show! Foxy has soft and relaxed busy posture and and approaches and seeks contact from humans. When she is initially touched, she sniffs, head-butts, rubs on your hand, and rolls over on her back. She loves to purr, and prefers soft, gentle movements when playing with toys. She enjoys almost all human contact (being held, patted everywhere, brushed, and more). She likes to touch noses, loves attention, enjoys purring. She is very social and oriented and calm and content to just be with people. She would love to have a structure to hide in on days where she is feeling over stimulated. Come meet Foxy soon and bring her home!

Cub

Cub

Do you love kitties who love being scratched under their chin, that have a gorgeous black coat and dynamic gold eyes? Do you like independent cats, who are content to hang out  and observe? Meet Cub! Don’t let Cub’s eye-yuckies deter you from adopting him. He is on medication right now and will be as good as new, soon! Cub recently had his feline behavior observation done. He was found hidden in a hidey-hole in a cat structure. He has soft and relaxed body posture, and in response to human presence, he looks and ignores. When touched, hehe sniffs and then backs away. We feels he may have been a little bit overwhelmed during the observation due to some of the changes he has had in his life. We feel he might respond to feather toys attached to a structure so he can play on his own schedule. He enjoys being touched almost everywhere, but does not particularly care to be carried around in your arms. He is able to be held for about 10 seconds before he starts meowing and trying to jump down. Cub will need 2-4 weeks to adjust and a place to hide. He will not be a cat to over-indulge with attention at the start. He will need plenty of chin-scratches and time!

Lila

Lila

Meet Layla. She is really hoping someone doesn’t judge her by her right eye that she has lost, and that someone will see the beauty within. Layla is used to being with other kitties. According to her feline evaluation, she is soft and relaxed in her body posture. Upon first meeting humans, she looks at them and then ignores them, but remains very calm. Upon initially being touched, she sniffs, butts her head, rubs on your hand, and rolls onto her back. She doesn’t respond to toys so far, but she likes to huddle with other kitties and appears bonded to another cat that we have in the shelter, who is a gray and white tiger cat. She tolerates being touched everywhere, but thoroughly enjoys being held in your arms. She is a bit shy and will need time to acclimate. She is cautiously friendly, and more at a stage where she likes to “observe” her humans rather than play. She would enjoy hidey holes. She is a nice cat who is quiet and calm. We hope that whoever falls in love with her might consider adopting her friend for reassurance.

Boots

Boots

Meet the relaxed and charming Boots. He is a handsome tuxedo kitty that is looking for a lovely home! Thanks to our wonderful volunteers who perform behavior observations on our kitties, we have a lot of helpful information on Boots! His body posture is soft and relaxed. He approaches people and seeks contact with them. When he is touched, he sniffs, head-butts, rubs onto your hand and rolls on his back! He purrs, plays with cat charmers and lasers, and enjoys being petted everywhere! He is generally pretty outgoing and active, and accepting of handling. He is an independent kitty, content to hang out and watch what is going on. The feline observation tells us that with time, he will certainly be a “cuddler” after he becomes comfortable and adjusts with his new family. He likes to have structure with a covered bed and a nook to settle into. Please give us a call or stop in to meet the handsome Boots!

Puss

Puss

Do you enjoy confident kitties with dominant personalities who seek attention and take over the house as the pack leader? Meet Puss! Puss is very social, always in the midst of whatever his human is doing. Puss LOVES interactive toys, specifically catnip mouses, other fabric toys, cat charmers, feather wands, fabric toy wands, and lasers. Puss has a soft and relaxed body posture and enjoys other cats. He is very affectionate, and tolerates most touch and handling, although he doesn’t prefer to be picked up and carried, so might do well with a home where the children are 10+. If you approach Puss quickly, he might walk away initially, but he quickly returns to get some love! We love Puss, and are sure you will too. Come meet him!
