Jessie is a shy little cat with wide, wondering eyes that seem to drink in the world around her. Though she’s often hesitant around new people, her curiosity always gets the better of her—she’ll quietly sneak up to investigate anything unfamiliar, peeking around corners or pawing gently at new objects. Once she feels safe, Jessie’s playful side comes alive, and she’ll tumble after crinkly toys or pounce on shadows with kitten-like energy. She absolutely adores other cats, often following them around like a little sister, eager to join in their games or curl up beside them for a nap. Jessie may be quiet, but her heart is full of wonder, joy, and affection
Our Mysterious, Wet Food–Powered Enigma
(A.K.A. The Cat Who Chose the Shelter Life)
Jessie holds the title of our longest resident, and we’re starting to suspect… that’s exactly how she wants it. Why? We’re not entirely sure. But if we had to guess? It’s the steady, reliable supply of her one true love: wet food.
During mealtimes, she becomes a majestic, circling presence—just out of reach—gliding like a feline shark waiting for her moment. The rest of the time? She lurks in the shadows, watching. Always watching. Her gaze will pierce your soul and make you wonder: Is this my purpose? Was I put on Earth to feed this cat? (Yes. Yes, you were.)
Jessie’s second greatest love in life is personal space. She’s a firm believer in the “look but don’t touch” lifestyle. Cuddles? Absolutely not. Petting? No, thank you. Picking her up? Try it and see how fast she disappears into thin air.
She likes being here. She just… doesn’t seem to like us. We may never uncover the full extent of her master plan—but if you’re intrigued and also enjoy solitude and unspoken companionship, Jessie might just be your perfect match.
Adopt Jessie. Feed her. Ask no questions.
Hello! I’m Buttons!
I am a little bit shy, and may run away when you first come up to me, but I promise I am trying my best!
After a year of being here at the shelter, I have come to realize that not everyone is out to get me. As a past junk yard kitty, it has been really hard for me to settle into the shelter life, but I’m making good progress!! When I first got here I would hide, and hiss at anyone who got too close to me, out of fear of what would happen. A year later and I have figured out that these human things aren’t too too bad! I like to chatter at them when they feed me my supper, to show my appreciation. They give catnip (which I have found is quite amazing!), I get temptation treats whenever I want them, and they have these nice squeeze treats that I just ADORE! I originally came in with my family, and watched them all get adopted, just leaving me. As sad as that was to experience, I’ve met a lot of pretty cool cats! There’s a younger group in with me right now that i seem quite fond of. If it isn’t too much to ask, id love to be adopted with one of them or maybe if there’s another nice kitty in the home that would be nice. I enjoy the comfort of others in my times of anxiousness. I promise I’ll try as hard as I can to be the best house cat! A friend would just make it that much easier on me
Is anybody interested in a shy lady like me? Ive seen a lot of kitties come and go, and I’ve tried my hardest to prove that I am ready for it to be my turn!
Toothless has been through a lot in his 2 years of life, due to what we believe was ear mites, Toothless has no ear left hence his name Toothless like the dragon from How to Train your Dragon. Toothless will be available to adopt after he heals from his ear surgery. He is absolute sweetheart that loves a good head scratch. Toothless would do great in a quieter home
