Lila

Lila

Meet Layla. She is really hoping someone doesn’t judge her by her right eye that she has lost, and that someone will see the beauty within. Layla is used to being with other kitties. According to her feline evaluation, she is soft and relaxed in her body posture. Upon first meeting humans, she looks at them and then ignores them, but remains very calm. Upon initially being touched, she sniffs, butts her head, rubs on your hand, and rolls onto her back. She doesn’t respond to toys so far, but she likes to huddle with other kitties and appears bonded to another cat that we have in the shelter, who is a gray and white tiger cat. She tolerates being touched everywhere, but thoroughly enjoys being held in your arms. She is a bit shy and will need time to acclimate. She is cautiously friendly, and more at a stage where she likes to “observe” her humans rather than play. She would enjoy hidey holes. She is a nice cat who is quiet and calm. We hope that whoever falls in love with her might consider adopting her friend for reassurance.

Boots

Boots

Meet the relaxed and charming Boots. He is a handsome tuxedo kitty that is looking for a lovely home! Thanks to our wonderful volunteers who perform behavior observations on our kitties, we have a lot of helpful information on Boots! His body posture is soft and relaxed. He approaches people and seeks contact with them. When he is touched, he sniffs, head-butts, rubs onto your hand and rolls on his back! He purrs, plays with cat charmers and lasers, and enjoys being petted everywhere! He is generally pretty outgoing and active, and accepting of handling. He is an independent kitty, content to hang out and watch what is going on. The feline observation tells us that with time, he will certainly be a “cuddler” after he becomes comfortable and adjusts with his new family. He likes to have structure with a covered bed and a nook to settle into. Please give us a call or stop in to meet the handsome Boots!

Puss

Puss

Do you enjoy confident kitties with dominant personalities who seek attention and take over the house as the pack leader? Meet Puss! Puss is very social, always in the midst of whatever his human is doing. Puss LOVES interactive toys, specifically catnip mouses, other fabric toys, cat charmers, feather wands, fabric toy wands, and lasers. Puss has a soft and relaxed body posture and enjoys other cats. He is very affectionate, and tolerates most touch and handling, although he doesn’t prefer to be picked up and carried, so might do well with a home where the children are 10+. If you approach Puss quickly, he might walk away initially, but he quickly returns to get some love! We love Puss, and are sure you will too. Come meet him!

Leah

Leah

Leah. Her name means a place of delight and beauty, and that is just the perfect comparison to this beautiful little cat. Do you like kitties that don’t require a lot of attention and just like to lie by the wood stove and look pretty? Are you an experienced cat person, with patience in allowing little shy cats to adjust? If you answered yes to those questions, Leah might be your cat. Leah is relaxed and a bit shy. She enjoys sparkly rattle toys with feathers and other interactive toys, as long as the interaction is slow. She tracks lasers, but doesn’t chase them. She can be skittish and sometimes likes to hide. When she hides, she enjoys watching what is going on with her alert, and beautiful eyes. Although she hides, she is able to be touched when hidden without a negative response. She is independent, yet settled and calm. She enjoys being touched on her head and her back. Although she accepts attention, she does enjoy being left alone. We feel she would do best in a quiet, adult environment with a patient person who will allow her time to adjust. Although we understand the concern of adopters worried that their shy kitties aren’t doing well, we also like to encourage people to take the time and be patient in letting the cats adjust after coming home. Please come meet Leah and give her a chance at happiness. We know that a lot of adopters like kitties who jump into their arms upon first meeting for “love at first sight,” but sometimes happiness and happy tails take a little bit longer, and are worth the wait.

Bebe

Bebe

Do you like fluffy, pretty kitty cats? Meet Bebe! She enjoys relaxation and soft beds. She would really like to spend her winter curled up next to you, and her boyfriend, Boots, who she met at the shelter. They have fallen in love, but who is to blame them? Boots is a pretty handsome guy too. The good news is: They were adopted together!!

Boots

Boots

Boots and his girlfriend Bebe were adopted together! Do you like cats with TONS of personality? Cats that make you laugh, and keep you entertained? Well then, my friends: Meet Boots! Boots enjoys playing with paper bags, twitching his tail, cuddling with his girlfriend Bebe, and playing with toys. Although much older than Bebe, with his mitten-paws, good looks, and personality-plus, it’s really no wonder why Bebe picked him for a boyfriend! Boots loves other kitties, and he has a heart of gold. He might be nearly ten years old, but you would never guess it! He is a handsome domestic long hair tabby with white markings. He has a funny looking walk, but it’s probably a combination of obesity and what the vet to believes possible arthritis. He doesn’t let that stop him from loving life and looking for his home!
