We are feeling VERY positive about George these days! He had a meet and greet with a wonderful person yesterday, and her dog. While her dog did not like George at all (so she couldn’t bring him home) George LOVED her dog, and wanted to smell him, play with him, and walk with him! George has been with us since July. He would be perfect for a home with no young children. We aren’t sure how he would do with kitties. He is 7.5 years old, and was surrendered by his family of seven years. He likes to play, roll around, chew bones, go walking, shake paws, knows how to “sit,” “stay,” and LOVES a good belly rub! Can you help George find a home for the holidays? He has waited long enough, and is starting to become accustomed to his life at the shelter. While that is a GOOD thing, we would much prefer that he have his second chance at a family. Isn’t Kamila a beautiful pup? She is currently accepting applications. Please feel free to call the shelter with any questions you might have about this gorgeous lady! She is a lab mix, around 1-1.5 years old. She growls at the other doggies if there is food around, so there might be a bit of food aggression going on, but with some supervision and some work, it can surely be improved! She is definitely a sweet girl!

Odie went home! He is VERY timid, and was placed in a home where he has a brother who looks just like him, and came from Puerto Rico as well! The couple that adopted him have patience for timid dogs, as their dog was once the same way as Odie. Odie will be very happy in his new home after he adjusts, and will love playing in his fenced yard with his big brother! This is certainly a Happy Tail.

Meet this perfect pair, Max (boy) and Chance (female). They are both hoping they do not have to stay in the shelter for too long. They were a local surrender, at no fault of their own. Max is a 10-year old teacup Chihuahua and Chance is a 12-year old female black lab. Max and Chance have grown up together all of their lives, so they really hope that you understand that one will not be able to go without the other! Abby was Adopted! Do you like to throw balls? Does your family like to play, and enjoy walks, exercise and stimulation? Are you patient with puppy silliness and like to give belly rubs? We are pleased to introduce Abbie to you. She is a six month old Shepard mix. While Abbie is in need of some basic training due to her young age, she is also very love-able and will make the right family a wonderful dog. She currently enjoys jumping, biting at her leash, and looking cute.
