Meet Lance, a handsome five-year-old Shepherd/Retriever mix weighing 60 pounds. Lance has a rich, red coat, which he wears with style and charisma. Although very sweet and personable, Lance does have a dominate personality and does not mix well with other animals. He walks well on a leash, rides great in a car, and is ready to find his forever home.
A three-year old Tabby, Leelo arrived at the Shelter with her sister, Jellybean. Leelo is a talkative cat who loves to engage you in conversation. She’s also very fond of belly rubs, and will direct your hand right to her favorite spot. Good with both cats and dogs, Leelo is ready for you to take her in your arms and carry her home.
A three-year-old Tabby, Jellybean arrived at the Shelter with her sister, Leelo. She’s a little shy at first and may tuck herself away in her favorite cubby, but once you get past that, she’ll eagerly seek your love and attention. Good with both cats and dogs, Jellybean is hoping to be your sweet treat.
Say hello to TRAPPER, an eight-year-old Chocolate Lab weighing 94 pounds. Trapper’s a big, lovable guy who was recently displaced as a result of some life changes. He seems to be adjusting well to shelter life, but as you can tell by his face, he does long for your love and attention. He also seems to blend well with other animals, and may actually like the companionship. Come help Trapper start a new life.
Say hello to Charlie, a 2-year-old Shih Tzu mix who is paralyzed in his back legs. Charlie is an inspiration. When he arrived at The Ark his back legs were sore and tender from lack of care, but his big beautiful eyes beamed with hope. He’s sweet, kind, loves all people and animals, and will be the light of your life. Visit Charlie, and feel the love.
When her owner fill, eight-year-old Torbie, Moxie, arrived at the Shelter with four other housemates. They have since been adopted, yet Moxie still waits. She’s very easy going, but does like to keep to herself, so she’s often over looked. Once you get to know her, Moxie will seek your love and attention, and will give it back in return.
Katelyn is a pretty three year old with a medium-haired white coat with tabby spots. She has striking, light-green eyes, and has a way of commanding your attention. She’s very much an alpha female, so may not mix well with your others. A stray found hanging around a local horse farm, Katelyn would very much like for you to take her home with you.
Pearl is a three-year-old long hair who was found fending for herself with her new litter of kittens. All of her kittens have since been adopted, so Pearle is now ready to move on herself. There’s one thing that she has made very clear–she doesn’t like dogs. She probably had some run-ins when straying around. She’s very playful, and easily finds ways to amuse herself. Please open your door, and your heart, to Pearle.
A one-year-old short hair, Nitro is a goof ball. He always finds new and creative ways to get your attention, and much like a puppy that way, he does have a knack for chewing on things. He’s curious, an adventurer, and loves to play with both cats and dogs. An active young cat, Nitro is ready to bring some excitement into your life.
The Jiggs is up, for adoption. A one-year-old short hair and the brother of Nitro, Jiggs is much more reserved than his animated brother. He’s a bit shy and nervous upon first encounter, but does love the attention as long as you move at a pace he’s comfortable with. Good with other cats, by not good with dogs, Jiggs is ready to make a bond that will last.
Nisha is a five-year-old Tortie with a rich orange tortoiseshell coat. She is very loving, but like many of our surrendered animals, she takes a little time to warm up. She’s smart and inquisitive, and prefers to make the first move when getting to know someone. You must come meet Nisha

Isadora is an eight-year-old Tortie and the mother of Nisha. Although they were surrendered together, they exist well independent of each other. For a Tortie, she has a very mild personality, but 
with one exception—she has a great distaste for dogs. A super relaxed, confident, loving cat who would love nothing more than to settle into your lap, Isadora will make you happy.
A one-year-old Blue Merle Chihuahua, Poquito was recently rescued from a puppy mill and brought to the safety of The Ark. He was very timid upon arrival, but his youthful spirit is beginning to shine. He loves playing with his new toys, and bashfully yearns for your affection. Poquito is ready to learn what it means to be a loved companion.
A four-year-old Chihuahua, Hamilton weighs all but five pounds. He has a handsome chocolate-and-cream colored coat. Before arriving at The Ark, Hamilton had spent his entire life in a puppy mill. He now spends his days watching all of the shelter activity, wondering what new life awaits him. Come show Hamilton how good a dog’s life can be.
SAY HELLO TO CHEWY…a three-year-old Boxer mix, Chewy has sadly been passed around many homes in her short life. She’s stayed smart and steady, though, and knows that she has a lot going for her given the chance. She does have an alpha-female mentality, so she’s not ideal for every dog-loving household. She’s sweet, just wants to be loved, has been working hard on her commands and social skills, and is ready to be your “furever” friend.
LOOKING FOR A BIG HEART…a ten-year-old Black Lab mix, Maverick’s days may be numbered. Along with several health issues that we’ve addressed, Maverick has an enlarged heart which is requiring daily medication to keep him stable. It’s hard to determine how long his heart will hold on, but if you asked him, he’d say a long time. Maverick is super sweet, playful, and just yearns for human affection. Help Maverick live out the rest of his days in peace and happiness.
INTRODUCING MILO…a 5-year-old Maltese mix, Milo got lost in some life changes, so his owner felt he deserved a new chance with us. He’s great on walks, car rides, and will be happiest as your one and only. If your looking for a loyal friend to curl up on the couch with, Milo is looking for you.
MEET GRONKOWSKI…a 2-year-old Staffordshire Terrier, GRONK is a lot like number 87 himself. He’s built like a rock, very athletic, and has personality and style to boot. Weighing in at 47 pounds, GRONK was yet another unclaimed stray we rescued from a local holding facility. What a find. He gets along great with other dogs and cats, and will bull you over with affection, which may not be ideal for a family with young children. Come meet GRONK.
A five-year-old Long Haired Dachshund mix, Sugar is as sweet as her name. Sadly, Sugar was an abandoned stray who arrived at the Shelter with glaucoma in both of her eyes. One eye was removed, and the other is being maintained with daily drops. Please help Sugar find the sweet life she deserves.
Surrendered with Rainbow after their owner fell ill, Moonflower is a sweet thirteen-year-old Shih Tzu. She has a very good bill of health, but has had some hair loss along the way that has left her with a bare area. She does enjoy being bathed and groomed, and after improving her diet, some hair has returned. That aside, Moonflower is a peaceful dog who is full of love. Please help her find that love and warmth that she once knew.
