Kitty

Kitty

My name is Kitty, and it has been for the last sixteen plus years. That’s right, I’m sixteen, but in many ways I still feel like a kitty. I’m in very good health, and in fact, I just had an appointment with the dentist and he said that I have the teeth of a much younger cat. As a “senior cat,” I’m looking to continue a low-key, indoor lifestyle where I can enjoy all the little moments that make up the day. I still have a lot of life and a lot of love to give, so here’s to new beginnings (no matter how old you are).

Morris

Morris

Morris here, and I’m a six-and-a-half year old orange Tabby. The Staff tell me that I’m quite the conversationalist. I enjoy people’s company, and I’m looking forward to finding a nice home with an older person or couple who just want a sweet house cat who likes to carry on a conversation. In short, I’m an all around nice cat looking for a forever home. Every cat deserves one, don’t you think? Let’s talk about it.

Midgee

Midgee

Born on May 1st, 2012, Midgee is a black Domestic Shorthair with yellow eyes and fine strokes of white hair throughout his coat. A perfect little gentleman, Midgee doesn’t come on too strong, but when ready, warms up with a marvelous purr. Playful, curious, and easily compatible with other cats, Midgee’s perfectly charming.

Vera

Vera

Vera is a small, golden-eyed girl born in October of 2008. She is very comfortable and happy around other cats, but still a bit shy and timid with strangers. There were some scary times in her past, making Vera unsure of herself and her place in the world. Vera has a white spot under her chin, a white napkin around her neck, white socks on her feet, and hope in her heart that if she purrs loudly enough, someone special will come running.

Vera Josie & Vera

Cruella

Cruella

Cruella is a lovely Shorthair born in December of 2011. She acquired the name Cruella because of the unique flecks of white hairs throughout her shiny, black coat. But our “Cru” doesn’t have the personality of “DeVille”—she is very sweet and affectionate. Her sister is Ursula, and we’d love to see them go home together.

Hanger

Hanger

My name is Hanger, and I’m twelve years old. I found myself at the Shelter when my human family parted ways and no one could take me with them. I’m a pretty, independent ol’ girl. I’ve always been and indoor-outdoor cat, and I’ve lived with canine companions my whole life. I’ve got life pretty well figured out by now, so let’s get together soon and see if we can’t help each other out.

Moon Pie

Moon Pie

Moon Pie is a very friendly female born in February of 2011. She came to us from a home where there were so many cats she didn’t have the chance to acclimate to humans. She now loves being brushed and made over, and gets along magnificently with everyone she meets. A lovely cat, Moon Pie is just one of the many treasures at the Shelter waiting to be discovered.

Gracy

Gracy

Gracy is a charcoal-and-white spayed female who was found in the woods—lonely, starving, and scared. Born sometime in 2006, Gracy’s personality has flourished at the Shelter. While she loves being brushed and coddled, she’s also very playful, often batting feathers and chasing toy mice. If you’re longing for an affectionate companion to grace your home, you’ve found her.

Zeke

Zeke

Born in 2007, Zeke’s guardian passed away while they were together in the home. A smart, intuitive cat, Zeke knows that life has dealt him a bad card. He does soak up all of the love and attention that he receives at the Shelter, which tells us that he’s ready to move on. Compatible with most cats, Zeke’s ready for a new shot at life.

Mila

Mila

Naturally sweet, Mila was born in June of 2013. A bit shy upon first meeting you, she is very quick to warm up with softness and affection. Playful when she’s in the mood, and certainly always in a good one, Mila is ready to curl up to your side and join you for a soothing cup of tea.

Purty Girl

Purty Girl

Purty Girl is a charcoal-and-white sweetie born in 2001. An indoor-only cat, Purty really knows how to relax, spending most of her time kicking-back in her favorite cat bed. An older cat, Purty will be happiest in a quiet household where she can go about her days in an easy sort of way.

Phoenix

Phoenix

Born in June of 2011, Phoenix is a sweet, majestic cat who mixes nicely with other felines. A bit shy with first encounters, you may hear her lovely meow before actually seeing her. She told us that she hopes to find a warm home with a loving family that will spoil her like a princess.

Kelsey

Kelsey

Kelsey is a sweet young lady with a pretty and unique silvery-gray coat. Born in November of 2010, she is super affectionate, very vocal, and enjoys being petted. She tolerates most of the other Shelter cats—although she seems to prefer the company of dogs. Like so many of our amazing cats, Kelsey is just waiting to be discovered and loved.

Popeye

Popeye

Born in September of 2012, Popeye’s a character. Surrendered to The Ark because he was playing too wildly with the young children in his household, Popeye’s just one of those cats with a one-of-a-kind personality. A sweetie as well, Popeye would thrive in an environment where he can just be himself—even when he gets a little carried away. He jumps, he soars, and he’s ready to fly, come see Popeye.

Behati

Behati

Born in March of 2012, Beahti is an orange Tabby with burnt-orange eyes and matching coat. Often keeping to herself or snuggling with one of her cat buddies, Behati’s yearning for a quiet, homey environment where she can settle down into an easy lifestyle. A real darling, Beahti would love to sit with you on the couch while you knit her a cozy cat blanket.

Wesley

Wesley

Wesley is a shorthaired male born sometime in July of 2010. When you first enter the community cat room, Wesley jumps up on the catwalk to quietly observe you from above. Long and lean like a panther with hypnotic orange eyes, he likes to take a little time to survey the situation before “jumping right in.” Now that’s a cat with sense! You’ve got to see this cat.

Mittens

Mittens

My name is Mittens and I was born sometime in August of 2012. A kind woman took me in, but she has since gone away. One day I was happy living in her home, and the next day I was living at the Shelter. I’m a friendly, affectionate guy who gets along very well with other cats, but when it comes to play time, I can be a bit rambunctious. I like people too, but I don’t think I would be a good fit for a home with children. Won’t you come and see what I’m all about?

Sissy

Sissy

Sissy is a sleek, young spitfire. Born in August of 2013, Sissy will keep you entertained for hours with her kitty antics—batting balls, toys, and sparking up spirited games of hide-and-seek. Sissy is so super soft and silky you won’t be able to put her down!

Casper

Casper

An affectionate, handsome male born in April of 2012, Casper will follow you around like a shadow, always keeping an eye on what you will do next. A smart, curious, active cat and a great guy to have around, Casper wants to be your Best Buddy.

Mamma Cass

Mamma Cass

Born in January of 2009, Mama Cass is a gorgeous tabby with glacial-green eyes and groovy mackerel swirls. Mama came to us almost two years ago with a litter of kittens. The kittens have long since been adopted, but Mama is still waiting her turn. She enjoys all of the human attention she receives at the Shelter, yet longs for a home to call her own. Mama Cass would love to spend time with you in the kitchen while you prepare your favorite recipes.
